Four Rose Petals Fall - [Voice | Action - Backdated to the 8th]
[The day finds Dist outside House One in the shade, back leaned up against one side of the house. He's without his usual collared coat, and the red undershirt he wore had its sleeves rolled up as well. Scattered around Dist's feet are about a dozen small, simple toys that he created. Much of them were just little wind-up dolls made to look like fonbots and even a cheagle or two. There were others, however, that were a little more detailed - much like a miniature model of his Kaiser Dist that actually flew for a few seconds when wound up and released, and an ornate music box that opened up like a blossoming flower, and played a gentle melody.
Dist had suddenly just gotten the urge to pick up loose metals and gears at the shops while out, and came back home to immediately start working. He had wanted to try and recreate his beautiful assault mechs or his flying chair, but that was out of the question with the lack of proper materials, and fonons, here in Luceti. Right now, he was finishing up a little wind-up rappig that walked and twitched its nose. Putting it amongst the others, Dist wipes his face with the back of his hand and picks up his journal.]
Ah, w-would anyone like a small, simple toy? I've had a sudden...urge to build things, and this is all I can manage with the limited technology available here. Obviously, a grown man like myself has no use for child's toys, so if you want one, speak up or arrive to House One immediately. I won't wait all day in this atrocious heat.
...I can custom make something if I think you deserve it as well. I'm not running a charity for unruly urchins!

[Voice]
Let's see... How about a Cheagle?
[Voice]
I'll have it done as soon as possible. Would you like me to drop it off when it's finished, professor? Or would you like to pick it up?
[Voice]
[She's not entirely afraid to admit that she's bored. What with Regal at work in the bakery and no more school for the summer, she has a lot of free time on her hands.]
[Voice]
[And he'll begin working on her gift as well, working quickly, but carefully. He didn't want to mess up something for the her just because he was rushing. Even so, with the wave of sudden creativity, he'd be able to get it done and pass any minor hurdles in its development easily. Whatever this was, he wasn't questioning it too much. It wasn't damaging, at least.]
[Action]
[Action]
With a smile, Dist politely bows her in and stands aside.] Welcome, Professor. I've finished your gift recently, let me go fetch it.
[Action]
Take your time, Saphir. This is a visit, after all. [Even so, she steps inside, enjoying the cool shade of the house.]
[Action]
Ah...m-my apologies, Professor. Please, don't think I-I want to get rid of you, I most certainly don't! Make yourself comfortable. [vhhchd awkwardness. Why is this so difficult?! Dist goes to retrieve her gift, though less quickly as before. When he returns, he has a cute, hand-made cheagle in one hand. It was metallic, yes, but looked spot-on to the monster it was based off of. He'd done enough experiments on the creatures to know their anatomy to a T.]
Here you are. I...I hope you like it.
[Action]
Thank you, Saphir. It's very lifelike.
[Sadly, she's had experience with Cheagle experimenting as well. It's not a part of her life she's proud of, nor did she ever approve of these tests. Despite that they're considered holy creatures, the Order of Lorelei was very merciless towards them.]
[Action]
There's a small switch upon its back that should make it move and blink. I wanted to include sound, but that was much more difficult. I-I'm glad you like it, Professor!
Ah...would you like anything to drink? I'm sure you must be dehydrated from this oppressive heat.
[Action]
A cup of tea would be just fine, thank you.
[Action]
The real one.
After a few minutes and the tinkling sound of glass being moved around, the older man returns with two glasses of cool iced tea. It was way too hout out for a heated beverage.]
I hope this will do. If you require anything else at all, please don't hesitate to ask. Now, if you don't mind my asking...how have you been, Professor?
[Action]
Oh, I've been just fine. Now that the school's on a break, I've had a lot more free time on my hands. Nothing I can't handle, of course. And my housemate's always willing to offer up new ideas as well. ...You've met him by now, haven't you?
[Action]
I--...may have spoken with him on several occasions. [If it was the same person he thinking of.] What is his name, Professor? [And why is he living with you?! He better not try anything funny or so help him--]
[Action]
His name is Regal Bryant. He runs the bakery in town.
[Action]
Yes...we have spoken once or twice. I was unaware he ran the bakery as well. [There's a definite sinister calm about his voice that Gelda may or may not notice.]
[Action]
Mm, he does. He's a very talented chef. [Regal may talk about Gelda with fondness, but she speaks of him in exactly the same way. And she smiles pleasantly while doing so.]
[Action]
approved ofmet yet. But what can he do? Though she was and always would be his precious Professor Nebilim, Gelda was a grown woman. And Dist cared about her more than anything else. With a frown, he crossed his arms and muttered quietly.]
...Indeed. I'm glad you've met someone like that, Professor.
[His tone was honest and sincere, but Dist was still wearing a bit of a pout. He still didn't like the thought of this much.]
[Action]
If you'd like, we can have tea together some time. Just the three of us.
