Two Rose Petals Fall - [Action | Written]
[It's close to noon in house one today, and Dist is taking note of the rather odd silence that's lingering through his new home. For the few days he's been living here, holing himself in his room for various reasons, Dist has had to adjust to the clamor and noise of footsteps passing by his door and Anise's familiar humming and singing. Today, however, those things were not present.
Curiously, he sets about to see why, and taps lightly on her door before pushing it open when she did not answer. She wasn't inside but her room was fairly messy. Messier than a normal child her age would keep it. Dist stands in the doorway for a moment longer, then sighs, rubs the space between his eyes, and shuts the door softly. He's still not sure how to feel about this place, and the things that go on. What was the purpose of the experimentation, anyway?
Whatever, it's not like he and the girl were on exceptional terms anyway. Dist has other, more pressing matters to attend to. He's been putting off seeing the Professor with his own eyes for long enough. Truth of the matter is, he was scared. Scared to meet with her, to go there and have it be a lie, or a dream, or...or somehow seeing that monstrous replica again. The mere thought of that made him shudder, but enough was enough. There was always the hope that, just maybe, she really was alive. Dist had to cling to that hope. He had to.
So, after retreating to his room once more, he opens his journal, sighs, and begins to write, very carefully.]
Professor,
Is it all right if I stop by? I would have come sooner, but I was distracted by certain things. I'm still coping with the knowledge of just what this place is, and everything else here. I hope you can understand. I'm wholly looking forward to seeing you again.
Dist the Ro - Saphir
[And because Dist doesn't understand how these journals work just yet, he leaves it open and goes to make himself a strong cup of coffee or tea or whatever. He just needed something to calm his nerves.]

[Action] /cough. I do it too much. orz
Dist felt his breath catch in his throat and his hands shook. What should he do? After all these years, he was at a loss. Say something, you idiot!]
Pro-Professor... [Don't cry, don't cry.] I--G-Good afternoon.
[Action] Oh you!~
It's good to see you again. Will you come inside? [She moves to the side so he can enter the house, if he's ready.]
[Action] Prolly cuz I was minoring in creative writing for a while. :|b
Dist pulled his hand away and a smile began to spread on his face as he looked aside, to hide the tears forming in his eyes.]
I-I've waited so long... I-I'm sorry, Professor. [A short, clipped laugh, before he has to wipe his face.] S-Still the same, I suppose, haha...! It's w-wonderful to see you again. I-I didn't think...I'd--
[Action]
But those times in Keterburg have passed. Saphir is a grown man now. In fact, he's even older than she is. To think that he's so happy to see her again... She's at a loss for words.]
Saphir...
[Action]
F-Forgive me, P-Professor. [He wipes his face and turns a quiet sob into a clipped laugh.] I-I...I'm so glad to see you again! It's...It's been years. Are you well?
[Action]
I should say I'm very well, especially considering the circumstances. Luceti never has much of a dull moment, as you can imagine, but I've managed to settle down here all the same.
[Action]
I'm glad for that. I can't say I've seen much of what goes on, but... [Anise was kidnapped earlier. He clears his throat and lets that thought go unvoiced.] How long have you been here? I see you're a teacher at the school here...I'm not surprised, I learned much from you, Professor, Nebilim.
[Action]
Teaching was always my passion. When Professor Sage suggested that we open the local school for students, I was only too happy to aid her with that. It's been about a year and a half since then, I suppose, though I arrived in Luceti a few months earlier.
[Action]
Of course, anyone with eyes could see you were the best! I wouldn't be what I am now without your schooling, Professor! [And his talent for fontech, wherever that stemmed from.] ...Almost two years, then. And you've been in good health, I hope? I can see you've settled in well, at the very least.
[Brb, looking around your house lazily. Nice, quaint, cozy. Not what he's used to, but Dist approves.]
[Action]
My offer to go inside still stands.
[Action]
Ah, y-yes, of course...! My apologies, Professor. [And he'll even hold the door for you, like the gentleman he is...sometimes.]
[Action]
Can I get you anything? A drink, or something to eat?
[Action]
Ah, please, Professor...I'd hate to bother you.

[With that, she heads for the kitchen area. She'd expected that he would opt for tea, actually, which is why she'd already put the kettle on shortly after she got his message. All she has to do is pour the water into a mug and add a teabag, so all in all she won't be too long.]
[Action]
Thank you again, Professor. Please, tell me how you have been. It's...been quite some time since I last saw you. [Does she know? She recognized him right off the bat, even though he was a grown man, now.]
[Action]
I've been quite well. It took a bit of time to get used to Luceti, as it's quite different from Auldrant. After I fell into the proper rhythm and found my place, though, I discovered this village's charms.
