One Rose Petal Falls - [Action | Accidental Voice]
[One of the newest arrivals finds himself laying face first on the cool forest floor, groaning. His body ached all over, but Dist was sure that came with being shot at by a monstrous replica. One that he himself had unleashed. Ugh, what an idiot he was, to let himself grow so desperate and crazed and release that thing, only to have it kill him in the end. That had broke much more than just a few ribs. ...Well, at least it's not raining.
The white haired man musters up all the strength he has remaining and pushes himself up into a kneeling position. He removes his broken glasses and 'tsks' at them. Useless... The glass was broken. Damn that...that impostor! Dist winces and massages his chest. Most of the pain was fading there, but, oddly, his back hurt the most.
Before inspecting why - he just tacked it on to being dead - he cranes his head up and looks around at the trees around him, scowling.]
Tsk, this isn't exactly what I had envisioned of Hell. Fire and brimstone and all that... Agh, damn this pai--[Dist hisses and recoils his hand quickly as it passes over his shoulder and brushed up against his wings. His eyes widen and a bitter smirk spreads on his lips as he looks over his shoulder and spies his wings.] Well, now. This certainly is a surprise. Someone's idea of a joke, perhaps, if even Hell won't take me.

Yes, I can see you. The journals allow anyone holding one to see you, as well. You can also see whatever is written in them, as well as hear what people say.

Truly a marvel... If only I had my tools, I could inspect it. It doesn't seem mechanical, but one can never be sure. And even so, I could learn from it, it I did some tests wi--[Wait a minute.] ...Everything I do and write within it can be seen? Can that be prevented?
[Okay, this thing just turned from wicked awesome material of study to something potentially troublesome. He's not about to go diverging his secrets for all to see, thanks.]

I read something about "filtering" things, but I don't know how. Have you found the guide yet? it should be somewhere in your journal. That might be able to explain things.

It's until he reaches one section that he stops and stares, breathless, at one name: Gelda Nebilim. Dist shudders and clenches his teeth, forcing his voice not to shake as he speaks again.]

Can you find your way to the village? There are shops here. They'll probably have your things.

There's a lake close by to where I am. If the maps are correct, I can follow the stream into town.
[And he's actually moving in that direction now, going by quietly, wincing here and there as he steps on pebbles and and other various sharps things on the ground. Ugh, the sooner he gets to the village, the better. Clothes! Shoes! Technology!]

Good. You'll be able to find your things in the clothing and weapon shops, but don't worry, they don't cost anything. Nothing here does.

He then checks the maps provided in the guide to locate the shopping district. Yeah, clothes first. Hopefully he can get his own clothes back.]Well, I've found the village, so I should be all right. [Said while shifting through racks of clothes, his journal being set down on a shelf. Here's a quiet "Ha!" and a quick shuffle. Dist found his clothes. Brb, changing.]
Damn, I'm going to have everything tailored to fit with these cursed appendages... [When he returns, Dist has on his pants, shoes, and looks rather uncomfortable in his red undershirt. His coat's hanging from his arm.] I'm sure I can manage. There's always something to do, if one sets their mind to it. Though now I should find a place to stay, I suppose... Thank you again, ah--?

[No, I haven't. but Frey's clothing is enough to make any fashion conscious person cry. It's epic fail at looking epic.]
If you need a place to stay, the new feather welcome center lets you stay as long as you wish, or you can just choose an empty place in the community housing. That's what I did.

Fortunately, Dist's frilly coat is rather fabulous - the second one at least - just without...the frilly pink collar.]The latter option sounds more preferable. [Which is why he'll now be heading off in the direction of one of the commity house buildings, hoping to find a vacant room. To Frey's introduction, Dist nods, and bows his head a little to the built in camera of the journal - seriously, he's going to give this this a severe look at - and grins broadly.] You are looking at the genius fontechnician and researcher, Dist the Rose.
