One Rose Petal Falls - [Action | Accidental Voice]
[One of the newest arrivals finds himself laying face first on the cool forest floor, groaning. His body ached all over, but Dist was sure that came with being shot at by a monstrous replica. One that he himself had unleashed. Ugh, what an idiot he was, to let himself grow so desperate and crazed and release that thing, only to have it kill him in the end. That had broke much more than just a few ribs. ...Well, at least it's not raining.
The white haired man musters up all the strength he has remaining and pushes himself up into a kneeling position. He removes his broken glasses and 'tsks' at them. Useless... The glass was broken. Damn that...that impostor! Dist winces and massages his chest. Most of the pain was fading there, but, oddly, his back hurt the most.
Before inspecting why - he just tacked it on to being dead - he cranes his head up and looks around at the trees around him, scowling.]
Tsk, this isn't exactly what I had envisioned of Hell. Fire and brimstone and all that... Agh, damn this pai--[Dist hisses and recoils his hand quickly as it passes over his shoulder and brushed up against his wings. His eyes widen and a bitter smirk spreads on his lips as he looks over his shoulder and spies his wings.] Well, now. This certainly is a surprise. Someone's idea of a joke, perhaps, if even Hell won't take me.

H-How? This all seems so surreal. I can't even fully wrap my mind around it all. I'm going to need a strong drink after this, most certainly.

But, is it really true? That...that you cannot die here? That in just a few days' time, you're returned? Alive? [There's a hint of anger and bitterness in his tone, but he masks it well. Dist's been trying to achieve what the Malnosso have for achieved for years. Decades! And he failed. Yet, these people...they succeeded.]

...Yes, it does happen. Even those who were dead in their worlds can live here, as you've seen.
Do you happen to know where you're going?
[voiced]
I see... [He sighs heavily, rubbing between his eyes. He had a lot to say about that, but nothing Nephry should be bothered with, so he'll move on.] Yes, the maps in the guide are extremely useful. I'll see to it I can gather my clothing before finding a suitable place to stay for the night.
[voiced]

He pauses at her offer, and looks away to hide the smile that just barely ghosted across his face. Nephry had always been kind to him, and he always appreciated it.] Perhaps some other time, thank you. I'd like to really think a few things over on my own first. But I'll visit you...i-if it's all right?

Peony? You're living with Peony?! [Knowing that idiot's reputation, Dist can't help but be a little over protective, especially since he learned Jade's not here to keep him in check.] ...I may reconsider your offer, Nephry, someone has to make sure that louse behaves himself.

His Majesty and I are friends, Saphir. [there is quite the finality in that] I am more than capable of making sure it stays that way.
[she is married.]
[voiced]
It's not you I'm worried about, Nephry, I know you'd never stoop down to his level! Regardless of whether or not you can or can't, I still think it's best if I made certain he doesn't get too ahead of himself and try anything underhanded.
[Nope, no trust in Peony at all. But this can be considered a way in which he's accepting your offer, at least?]

[her voice is a little bit harder. She's thirty...four-ish and a governor, for Lorelei's sake.] His Majesty knows how to behave himself, and to be quite honest with you Saphir, I do not appreciate the implication that I might not be capable of dealing with him if he did not.

Hmph, I suppo--[He quiets and seems to duck his head a little, looking like he's being scolded.] Th-That's not--I wasn't implying that at all, Nephry! I'm only concerned about you... You know how Peony is, and his reputation. But, f-for your sake alone, I'll...try to be polite, if you'll allow me board at your home. But he has to do the same! [Even if that imbecile doesn't deserve it. Dist will also still be keeping an eye on him.]

Will do.It takes a long time for Dist to speak again, as he really tries to make the decision whether or not to stay. On the one hand, he did want to see Nephry again, and check on the Fon Master to see how he was holding up, considering he was... But then there was Peony. And Anise. Dist didn't know what to expect from her. She was kind to him, but also one of Jade's minions. Finally, his desire wins out.]I'll collect my belongings beforehand, and meet you as soon as I can. Th-Thank you again, Nephry...

[It takes him a while to find the clothes shop and everything, but Dist does actually hustle a little. He wants to see Nephry, considering he still considered her a close friend from the past. He also had other concerns about Ion and Peony - mostly Peony - but those will come later. Once he's properly dressed, or as best he can be with his red undershirt over his new wings, Dist makes his way to House 1 and knocks politely. Yulia, he felt kind of nervous, actually.]
